Judy began leading groups in the Special Needs Services Department of the JCCs of Greater Boston in 1990 at the Striar and Leventhal-Sidman JCCs. In 1994, she became the Coordinator of Special needs Services and has served as Director of the Department since 1995. Her role as Director involves providing oversight and direction for the JCC's services for people with disabilities. Along with supervision, collaboration, programming, marketing, and budget management, Judy serves on many CJP constituent committees to promote inclusion for people of all abilities.

Prior to her work in Jewish community service, Judy managed residential and vocational programs for adults with psychiatric and developmental disabilities.

Nancy has worked at the JCCGB for 10 years as a Special Needs Coordinator at the Striar Jewish Community Center, and for a brief time at the Metro West JCC. As a program coordinator Nancy has developed new programs for adults and children at the Striar JCC, hired and supervised staff, handled registration for programs offered through the Striar Special Needs Services Department, and consulted to the other departments at the Striar JCC.

Prior to working at JCCGB, Nancy worked at Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries supervising their diagnostic/evaluation unit serving adults and teenagers. She has also worked at a local private school which served children with learning challenges, doing group and individual counseling and writing curriculum for social skills groups. Nancy has also done individual treatment with families of children with special challenges.

Janis taught for 7 years in a self-contained classroom for children with moderate special needs for the Scottsdale Public Schools. After moving to the Boston area she worked at the JCCGB as a group leader and later as Coordinator of Special Needs Services supervising participants at the Striar and Leventhal-Sidman Centers. While taking time off to raise a family, Janis volunteered as a Patient Representative for Newton Wellesley Hospital and has worked on many committees at her synagogue including Religious School Director. In that position she managed the daily operations of a 300 student religious school program.

Janis has returned to the position of Coordinator of Special Needs Services. She is responsible for programming, intakes, information and referral, registration, consulting and community collaboration.
